Goudet est une commune française située dans le département de la Haute-Loire en région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.Dans le village, on distingue le clocher avec ses tuiles polychromes, jaunes, vertes et rouges disposées en écailles. Le village est traversé par deux ruisseaux, l’Holme et la Fouragette, qui se jettent dans la Loire qui, elle aussi, traverse une partie du village. Elle prend sa source à 35 kilomètres en amont, au mont Gerbier de Jonc.
