La Glacerie est une ancienne commune française, aujourd'hui commune déléguée, située dans le département de la Manche en région Normandie, peuplée de 5 867 habitants . Elle a été créée en 1901 par démembrement du territoire de la commune de Tourlaville.Les cinq conseils municipaux de Cherbourg-Octeville, Équeurdreville-Hainneville, La Glacerie, Querqueville et Tourlaville ayant voté 8 septembre 2015 la fusion de leurs communes respectives, la nouvelle commune prend après cette fusion le 1er janvier 2016, le nom de Cherbourg-en-Cotentin.
