Montbrison , en arpitan forézien Montbréson, , est une commune française située dans le département de la Loire en région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, faisant partie de Loire Forez Agglomération.Montbrison, cité historique mentionnée dès la fin du XIe siècle, est considérée comme la capitale historique du Forez mais succéda tout de même à Feurs qui est signalé dès le début de notre ère. De ce passé prestigieux, la cité conserve un patrimoine important, dont la collégiale Notre-Dame-d'Espérance est l'illustration la plus imposante.
