Divonne-les-Bains est une ville thermale française de l'Ain, dans l'arrondissement de Gex et dans le pays de Gex. Divonne se trouve sur la frontière avec la Suisse romande, entre le pied du Jura et le lac Léman. Elle fait aussi partie du Genevois français et du Grand Genève.Divonne est située à l'extrémité du pays de Gex. Frontalière de la Suisse, elle se situe à 20 km de Genève. Plusieurs hameaux sont rattachés à Divonne : Arbère, Crassy, Plan, Vésenex (avant la révolution de 1789, Vésenex était un village de la paroisse de Divonne. Le 28 février 1965, la commune de Vésenex-Crassy fut supprimée et réabsorbée par Divonne.
