Gisors [ʒizɔʁ] est une commune française située dans le département de l'Eure, en région Normandie.Cette cité ancienne située à la lisière du Vexin français témoigne par son patrimoine architectural de la lutte acharnée entre souverains Capétiens et Plantagenêt durant une partie du Moyen Âge. Élément important du paysage urbain, son château fort se dresse depuis lors sur une éminence dominant la ville. Principal lieu touristique de l'agglomération, il est également au centre de diverses légendes ayant trait à l'ordre du Temple.
