Bonneville est une commune française, située dans le département de la Haute-Savoie, dont elle est l'une des trois sous-préfectures, en région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Elle fait partie de l'agglomération transfrontalière du Grand Genève.
La commune est située dans le Faucigny, au confluent de l'Arve et du Borne, et aux pieds du Môle et de la Pointe d'Andey. Bonneville est située au cœur de la vallée de l'Arve.
