Dans la moitié nord du département de l'Aveyron, la commune du Fel s'étend sur 24,89 km2. Elle est bordée au sud par le Lot sur plus de six kilomètres.Sur les hauteurs dominant la vallée du Lot, le bourg du Fel est desservi par la route départementale 573E.
