Rampieux est une commune française située dans le département de la Dordogne, en région Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
Sur la ligne de partage des eaux entre la Dordogne et la Garonne, Rampieux se situe à la limite de l’Agenais. Rampieux est une zone de polyculture. On y trouve essentiellement de l’élevage de bovins soit pour la production de viande soit pour la production laitière, souvent associé à la production de tabac ou à la pruniculture. Ceux-ci ajoutés aux productions céréalières, aux vergers et aux tournesols contribuent à la diversification du paysage agricole.
