Ploubazlanec [plubazlanɛk], Plaeraneg en breton, est une commune située dans le département des Côtes-d'Armor en région Bretagne. Ploubazlanec appartient au pays historique du Goëlo.Ploubazlanec est une ville au nord du département des Côtes-d'Armor. La commune de Ploubazlanec est bordée par la Manche, sur environ 19 kilomètres de côtes et s'étend sur 15,04 km2 soit 1 504 hectares. Elle est située sur la côte du Goëlo au Nord-Ouest de la baie de Saint-Brieuc et de la réserve naturelle nationale de la baie de Saint-Brieuc.
