Garches est une commune française du département des Hauts-de-Seine en région Île-de-France. Située sur le versant d'un coteau, entre le parc de Saint-Cloud et le bois de Saint-Cucufa, la commune est bourgeoise et résidentielle, comprenant de nombreux pavillons.Garches est également connue par de nombreux accidentés de la route, pour l'hôpital Raymond-Poincaré de réputation internationale, spécialisé en traumatologie, accidents de la route et en rééducation des personnes physiquement handicapées.
