Annot [anɔt] est une commune française située dans le département des Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, en région Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.
Annot a la particularité dans le département d'avoir une population qui n'a varié que dans une fourchette assez restreinte, ne connaissant pas le fort dépeuplement de ses voisines entre 1851 et 1946. La bourgade d’Annot a une très ancienne fonction administrative, de rayonnement réduit mais stable. L'arrivée du chemin de fer à la fin du XIXe siècle, la présence de petites industries, puis l'attraction touristique de ce bourg rural montagnard expliquent cette relative stabilité.
