Saint-Pierre-des-Corps est une commune française située dans le département d'Indre-et-Loire dans la région du Centre-Val de Loire, à l'est de Tours dont elle est limitrophe.Banlieue de Tours, elle est depuis le XIXe siècle un important nœud de communication grâce à la gare de Saint-Pierre-des-Corps ; sa gare est desservie par les TGV allant de Paris vers Tours, La Rochelle, Bordeaux et Toulouse, mais aussi vers Lille, Lyon ou Strasbourg.
