Orgelet est une commune française située dans le département du Jura et la région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Les habitants se nomment les Orgelétains et Orgelétaines. La commune est labellisée Cité de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté depuis 1998 et Ville active et sportive depuis 2019.Orgelet est située dans le département du Jura, dont elle est chef-lieu de canton jusqu'en 2013. Orgelet est le siège de la plus vaste communauté de communes du département.
