Saint-Point est une commune française située dans le département de Saône-et-Loire en région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.La commune est située à 3,7 km de Tramayes et à 25 km de Mâcon.Le territoire peut-être décomposé en trois unités paysagères : le fond de vallée, d'environ 250 mètres de large, s’allonge du sud au nord ; le versant ouest, du village jusqu’aux sommets, comprend forêts et bocages ; le versant est : en bas, les pentes allongées et régulières et sur la partie haute les pentes sont raides et entièrement boisées. La commune est arrosée par le Valouzin, ruisseau qui prend sa source à Tramayes, arrose Saint-Point et Bourgvilain, passe à la Valouze et se jette dans la Grosne.
