Le virage 7 est connu sous le nom de virage hollandais. Ici, lors de l’ascension de l’Alpe d’Huez, les Néerlandais font la fête. Quelques jours auparavant, ils avaient installé leur caravane ou leur tente ici. La folie des Hollandais sur cette Alpe d’Huez a une bonne raison. Ils ont déjà gagné 8 fois ici. Les Italiens suivent à la deuxième place avec 7 victoires. Ce fut le cas en juin 2013.
