Les Arènes d'Arles, un amphithéâtre romain, sont la principale attraction touristique de la ville d'Arles, qui a prospéré à l'époque romaine. Elles datent du premier siècle avant J.-C. L'amphithéâtre pouvait accueillir plus de 20 000 spectateurs et a été construit pour offrir du divertissement sous forme de courses de chars et de combats à mains nues sanglants.
