Joyau du quartier Outre-Seille, cette église surprend car elle contient des vitraux aux tons pastel très doux, à dominante de bleu et de vert, œuvres de Jean Cocteau (1960). Il se dégage de l’ensemble une très grande spiritualité qui donne à l'église Saint-Maximin une atmosphère de paix et de douceur tout à fait particulière.
