La colonie agricole et pénitentiaire de Mettray est un établissement créé en 1839 pour réhabiliter les délinquants les plus jeunes, situé à Mettray, en Indre-et-Loire. Fermé en 1939, cet établissement, en dépit de ses principes fondateurs idéalistes, à savoir éduquer et rééduquer les jeunes délinquants par le travail de la terre, est considéré comme l'ancêtre des bagnes pour enfants.
