L'Oise est un département français de la région Hauts-de-France, qui doit son nom à la rivière homonyme qui la traverse. Ses habitants sont appelés les Isariens. Sa préfecture est Beauvais, qui est la plus grande ville du département.L'Insee et la Poste lui attribuent le code 60. Formant auparavant, avec la Somme et l'Aisne, l'ancienne région Picardie, il constitue depuis 2016, avec quatre autres départements , la région Hauts-de-France.
