Accès en voiture par la D22 depuis le bourg de Cussac en direction de La Chapelle Montbrandeix - Départ du circuit pédestre, parking à l'entrée de la forêt. Prendre le petit chemin qui descend vers la droite à l'angle du parking, l'aire de pique-nique se trouve à environ 300 mètres au bord du petit étang.
