La Chapelle de la Visitation a été acquise en 2007 par le Conseil Départemental de la Haute-Vienne. Classé à l'inventaire supplémentaire des monuments historiques, cet édifice a été tour à tour tribunal révolutionnaire, prison, caserne militaire, théâtre, bibliothèque ou encore école. Suite à d'importants travaux de réhabilitation conduits par le Département, ce lieu chargé d'histoire retrouve la vocation culturelle qu'il a connu dans les années 70-80 avec sa réouverture au public à l'automne 2016.
