La fontaine de dévotion dite “Saint-Roch” est située en bordure d’un chemin à proximité du bourg de Sermur. Cet édicule surmonté d’une croix latine monolithe en granite, qui alimentait en eau potable les habitants du bourg et du village de Chez Rouchon, possèderait des eaux aux pouvoirs bienfaisants. Ainsi la légende raconte, qu’il y a de nombreuses décennies, le pays était ravagé par la sécheresse en été, au moment de la Saint-Roch. Les Sermurois firent une procession jusqu’à la fontaine puis le curé donna l’ordre de tremper la statue de Saint-Roch dans celle-ci. Rapidement, alors que les habitants arrivaient au niveau de l’église, les premiers coups de tonnerre retentirent. La sécheresse était terminée. Depuis, une procession est organisée chaque année, le premier dimanche après le 15 août.
