C’est sans doute un des plus vieux Bildstocks ou croix de pierre du canton. Il est décrit comme ayant la particularité d' être percé d’une seule niche et d’avoir conservé la croix fleuronnée qui le surmonte. Sur le fût, un écu porte une balance symbolisant la justice ou la profession d’un préleveur de taxes dans cette région frontière.
