Le RMS Lusitania est un paquebot transatlantique britannique armé par la compagnie Cunard et lancé le 7 juin 1906. Son nom vient de celui de la province romaine de Lusitanie. Il s'agit du navire-jumeau du paquebot Mauretania.
Son torpillage par le sous-marin allemand U-20, pendant la Première Guerre mondiale, le 7 mai 1915, au large de l'Irlande , occasionne près de 1 200 morts sur 2 000 passagers et membres d’équipage, alors que le navire transporte un chargement de munitions.
