Le couvent augustinien de Murrisk, situé dans le comté de Mayo, en Irlande, a été fondé sur des terres accordées par Thady O'Malley en 1457 par Hugh O'Malley du couvent de Banada, dans le comté de Sligo, qui a reçu la permission de Callixtus III d'établir une église et un prieuré à Croagh Patrick parce que "les habitants de ces régions n'ont jusqu'à présent pas été instruits dans leur foi.". Le couvent est construit sur le site réputé de l'église originale fondée par Saint Patrick.
