Fermo est une ville italienne d'environ 36 900 habitants, chef-lieu de la province de Fermo, dans la région des Marches, en Italie centrale. La ville, siège archiépiscopal, se trouve à environ 6 km de la mer Adriatique.
Fermo se dresse sur les pentes du mont Sàbulo à une altitude de 319 mètres entre mer adriatique et les Monts Sibyllins. Le sommet de la Cité est dominé par la tour de la cathédrale Notre Dame de l'Assomption , qui se trouve à 6 km de Porto San Giorgio, 68 km d'Ascoli Piceno et 67 km d'Ancône.
