Du haut de la Rocca di Termini Alta, ce château domine toute la ville et une grande partie de la côte tyrrhénienne.
Le château a été entièrement détruit entre 1860 et le début du XXe siècle. Aujourd'hui, un réservoir d'eau et des installations associées se tiennent à sa place. L'iconographie des XVIe-XIXe siècles montre le château isolé sur la falaise, avec le noyau au sommet, protégé par un vaste circuit de remparts bastionnés.
