Le parc naturel de Lelystad est une zone de loisirs riche en nature près de Lelystad, géré par la fondation Het Flevo-landschap. Il a été créé dans les années 1970 car le zoo d'Amsterdam, Artis, avait besoin d'espace supplémentaire pour de grands herbivores. Dans le parc, divers animaux de la région euraSienne sont gardés dans de vastes enclos, qui sont désormais rares dans la nature ou menacés, tels que les bisons, les cerfs de David et les chevaux de Przewalski. Le parc naturel est le seul endroit aux Pays-Bas où l'on peut voir des élans.
