Le Haarlemmermeerse Bos est une zone de parc de 115 hectares située au nord-ouest de Hoofddorp. La forêt a été plantée dans les années 70, puis a été ouverte au public en 1979 et s'est développée en une attraction régionale. Des événements y sont régulièrement organisés, tels que le Mysteryland annuel et le Concours Hippique. Une partie de la forêt a accueilli la Floriade en 2002, ce qui a rendu cette section inaccessible pendant un certain temps et ouverte uniquement avec un billet d'entrée lors de la Floriade. Il reste quelques vestiges de la Floriade 2002 dans la forêt, tels que le Haarlemmermeerpaviljoen, le bâtiment d'exposition et la Big Spotters Hill.
