La station de Hardenberg est la station de la ville éponyme de Hardenberg, située sur la ligne de chemin de fer Zwolle - Emmen et sur la ligne Hardenberg - Almelo. En 1886, la Dedemsvaartsche Stoomtramweg-Maatschappij a ouvert sa ligne vers Hardenberg. Cette ligne ne passait en fait pas par Hardenberg, mais se terminait à Heemse, qui se trouve de l'autre côté de la Vecht. La station de la DSM était située en face de l'Hôtel de Rustenbergh. En 1906, un omnibus a circulé pendant un certain temps entre les deux stations, cette connexion par fiacre a été rapidement annulée en raison d'un intérêt trop faible. En 1937, la ligne de tram à vapeur a été supprimée.
