La route s'appelle là Dikkewijk. À Nieuw-Amsterdam, la route s'appelle Vierslagenweg. Près de Schoonebeek, la route s'appelle Nieuw-Amsterdamseweg. De rond-point à Schoonebeek, où la route croise la N863, jusqu'à la frontière, la route s'appelle Lauensteinstraat. Après que la route a franchi la frontière au niveau du Schoonebeker Diep, elle devient la L44b allemande et s'appelle Ossestraße. La première localité sur le sol allemand est Emlichheim.
