L'église de Notre-Dame est une église catholique située au 3, Effenseweg. Elle est démesurément grande par rapport à la taille actuelle du village. Elle a été consacrée en 1939 et l'architecte était Jacques Hurks. La même année, la paroisse d'Effen s'est également séparée de celle de Princenhage. C'est une église en brique réalisée dans un style traditionaliste.
