Avec la Ruine de Brederode, sont désignés les vestiges du Château de Brederode près de Santpoort-Zuid. Le château a été fondé dans la seconde moitié du 13ème siècle par Willem I de Brederode.
Le château a été détruit et reconstruit à plusieurs reprises à la fin du Moyen Âge. Après 1492, il n'a plus été habité.
Au 19ème siècle, la ruine a été l'un des premiers bâtiments à être restaurés à la demande de l'État et est devenu le premier monument national.
