Le Kennemerplein est une place dans le quartier de la gare, au centre de Haarlem, juste derrière le bâtiment de la gare du côté nord de la gare de Haarlem. La place est née en 1677 sous le nom de Plein bij de Kennemer- of Nieuwpoort. Les noms de Boeren Varkensmarkt et Varkensmarkt sont également utilisés. Au niveau du Kennemerbrug se trouvait, de 1677 jusqu'aux alentours de 1860, la Nieuwpoort, la porte de la ville également appelée Kennemerpoort. À l'ouest de la place se situait, sur le Staten Bolwerk, le Noorderkerkhof. Entre 1770 et 1960, il y avait un cimetière juif à l'est de la place sur le Prinsen Bolwerk.
