Mount Vernon était la résidence de George Washington, premier président des États-Unis, dans l'État de Virginie. Situé sur les bords du fleuve Potomac à quelques minutes au sud de Washington DC, près de la communauté de Mount Vernon, ce domaine est aujourd'hui ouvert au public toute l'année. Les tombeaux de George et Martha Washington s'y trouvent.
Le nom du domaine a été donné par Lawrence Washington , en hommage à l'amiral Edward Vernon, l'un des combattants du théâtre américain de la Guerre de succession d'Autriche.
