Il a été construit le 20 avril 1955. Donnant sur le Las Vegas Strip, il se situe à côté du Encore Las Vegas et en face du Circus Circus. L'hôtel offre 2100 chambres et dispose de plusieurs restaurants .
Plusieurs séquences de films y sont tournées : L'Inconnu de Las Vegas de Lewis Milestone avec Frank Sinatra, Les diamants sont éternels de Guy Hamilton avec Sean Connery, Austin Powers , ou encore Casino de Martin Scorsese.
