Cerfontaine è una comune francofona del Belgio situata nella Regione vallona nella provincia di Namur, nonché una località dove si trova la sua amministrazione. Il sigillo comunale è stato dato nel 1558 da un signore infame: egli si era impadronito di 600 bonnieri di legna appartenenti alla comunità che li recupera all'epoca francese, dopo 243 anni. Si tratta di un sigillo parlante, ossia che traduce il nome della comune in un facile rebus: un cervo che beve alla fontana su sfondo di foreste. L'ordinanza reale del 18 febbraio 1913 autorizza l'utilizzo di un sigillo comunale in base al sigillo di giustizia del 1558.
