Cugnon è un luogo situato nell'arrondissement di Neufchâteau e, dal riordino comunale del 1977, è una frazione di Bertrix.
Nella frazione si trovano l'ex comune di Mortehan e il villaggio di Thibauroche che in precedenza apparteneva al comune di Muno, ora una frazione di Florenville. Fino al 1899 anche La Géripont e Auby-sur-Semois facevano parte di Cugnon. In quell'anno è stato istituito il comune di Auby-sur-Semois separandolo dai due villaggi di Cugnon.
