Hampteau è un comune e frazione del comune belga di Hotton. Hampteau si trova in Vallonia, nella Famenne, ma confina con le Ardenne belghe, nella provincia del Lussemburgo. Il villaggio si estende su entrambi i lati della N833 tra Hotton e La Roche-en-Ardenne e offre vari ristoranti e terrazze. Durante l'estate, nel villaggio si tiene una fiera molto frequentata soprattutto dalla popolazione locale. Lungo la Rue du Moulin, la strada che dalla N833 porta a Werpin, si trova vicino all'Ourthe la parte antica e affascinante del villaggio. Oltre al vecchio mulino ad acqua, il "Moulin Faber", si possono trovare lì vecchie case e fattorie, costruite in calcare e arenaria, caratteristiche della regione.
