Asse è un comune e una località nella parte occidentale della provincia belga di Vlaams-Brabant e nel distretto di Halle-Vilvoorde. Oggi, il comune di Asse è considerato parte dei Kouters brabantini e, allo stesso tempo, del Pajottenland, mentre Bekkerzeel e Zellik hanno iniziato a far parte del Pajottenland solo nell'edizione del 1852 di 't Payottenland. Il comune è il capoluogo del cantone giudiziario e amministrativo di Asse. Asse conta oltre 33.000 abitanti, che vengono chiamati Assenaren. Il dialetto locale è l'Asses.
