Lille è un comune nella provincia belga di Anversa con oltre 16.000 abitanti. Lille si trova nei Campi e comprende le frazioni di Lille, Gierle, Poederlee e Wechelderzande. Lille si trova nel cantone di Herentals, che a sua volta si trova nel distretto di Turnhout. Il nome Lille deriva da Lindelo, che significa bosco di tigli. Nel 1123, Lillo fu menzionato per la prima volta in un documento scritto. Lille apparteneva alla Terra di Turnhout. Era un dominio ducale di cui diverse parti furono concesse in feudo a partire dal 1440. Nel 1567, Lille divenne una parrocchia autonoma.
