Hoboken è un comune in Belgio e un distretto della città di Anversa. Lungo il fiume Schelda, Hoboken è sede di molte industrie, con il nome più noto di Umicore. Nei media, Hoboken, così come Wilrijk, è chiamato il distretto meridionale.
Il nome Hoboken è composto da due parti: Ho e boken. Ho è un'abbreviazione di Hoog, boken deriva dall'antico neerlandese boeken, che oggi si chiama faggio. Hoboken significa quindi Faggi Alti, alberi che ornano il comune da secoli. L'ospedale di Hoboken è stato chiamato in onore dei Faggi Alti.
