Herdersem è un villaggio nella provincia belga di Fiandre Orientali ed è una frazione della città di Aalst. Herdersem conta circa 2500 abitanti. Insieme a Baardegem, Meldert e Moorsel è uno dei quattro "comuni di Faluintjes". Il luogo si trova nella regione del Dender.
Confina con Aalst, Moorsel, Hofstade, Gijzegem e Wieze. Herdersem è soprattutto conosciuto per la sua vivace venerazione e celebrazione di Sant'Antonio, che si svolge nel weekend intorno alla festa di San Antonio abate.
