Nel 1710 gli abitanti di Winamplanche ricevettero il permesso di costruire una cappella .
La costruzione termina nel 1714, ma sarà inaugurata solo nel 1729. Occupava parte dell'attuale giardino della canonica. La parrocchia di Winamplanche fu fondata nel luglio 1842 . Comprende Winamplanche, Marteau, Haftay, Vieux Pré e Sur le Thier. Dipende da 3 comuni: La Reid, Spa e Theux.
Appena arrivato nella sua nuova parrocchia nel 1843, il pastore Chevolet si rese conto di quanto fosse fatiscente la cappella originaria . Quindi farà ogni sforzo per assicurarsi una nuova proprietà. Bisognerà però aspettare fino al 1854 prima che il Conseil de Fabrique approvi il progetto della nuova chiesa dell'architetto Delsaux. La costruzione fu assegnata nel 1857 all'appaltatore Jacques Monville che viveva a Sur le Thier. Fu nel dicembre 1859 che il nuovo edificio fu consacrato. Fu fondato sotto il patrocinio di Sant'Andrea .
La chiesa, come la cappella primitiva, è provvista di 2 campane .
