I Jardins du Maïeur sono stati creati nel 1997 dall'assessorato ai parchi e ai giardini della città e si trovano su una terrazza sopra il parcheggio del municipio .
L'impianto geometrico è stato addolcito dalla piantumazione di alberi e arbusti di varie specie, grandi e ben sviluppati: tigli, bosco ceduo circolare, magnolia ad alto fusto, parrotia, corniolo, amamelide, ortensia rampicante, viburno, ecc.
L' affresco dei Valloni sulla parete che si affaccia sui giardini è un omaggio ai Valloni che hanno plasmato un'intera regione in ambiti diversi come la storia, il cinema, la cultura e la politica.
L'ingresso principale è dalla rue de Fer, il giardino è sul retro del municipio e c'è un altro ingresso dalla Venelle des Capucins.
