Questa panchina commemorativa con nomi incisi e un motivo a forma di elica nel legno, accanto a un pannello informativo che commemora la loro storia, è stata inaugurata nel 2014 per commemorare il 70° anniversario della liberazione di Dudzele.

Il 7 luglio 1940 , un Bristol Blenheim IV del 15° Squadrone britannico si schiantò durante un volo di ricognizione tra Terneuzen, Gand e Zeebrugge. L'aereo fu intercettato dai caccia Messerschmitt Bf 109 e precipitò vicino al ponte di Herdersbrug sul canale di Dudzele. Due membri dell'equipaggio tentarono di salvarsi con i paracadute, ma precipitarono. Il pilota fu trovato nella sua cabina di pilotaggio.
