Furth im Wald è una città in Baviera, Germania, vicino al confine ceco nella Foresta Bavarese, a 16 chilometri a nordest di Cham e a 17 chilometri a sud-ovest di Domažlice. La città è conosciuta come Drachenstadt, un riferimento alla rappresentazione annuale del Drachenstich di Furth im Wald. Il Drachenstich, originariamente parte di una processione del Corpus Domini, è stato menzionato per la prima volta nel 1590. Come uno dei più antichi drammi popolari in lingua tedesca, ogni anno gli attori rievocano la leggenda di San Giorgio che uccide il drago. Nel 2010, la rappresentazione è diventata notevole per l'uso del più grande robot ambulante del mondo, un drago animatronico chiamato Tradinno.
