Edertal è un comune situato lungo l'Eder nel distretto di Waldeck-Frankenberg, in Hessia settentrionale. Il comune è conosciuto a livello regionale per il lago Eder e il parco naturale Kellerwald-Edersee, che include il parco nazionale Kellerwald-Edersee. A tale riguardo, il comune porta dal 21 febbraio 2019 la denominazione ufficiale di comune parco nazionale.
