Rauenberg è una città nel distretto di Rhein-Neckar all'interno del distretto governativo di Karlsruhe nel Baden-Württemberg. Fa parte della regione metropolitana europea del Rhein-Neckar. Rauenberg ha, insieme ai suoi quartieri Rotenberg e Malschenberg, oltre 8000 abitanti.
La città si trova a circa 16 chilometri a sud di Heidelberg, all'uscita della vallata di Angelbach attraversata dal Waldangelbach, nel rinomato Oberrheingraben. La valle attraversa prima il paesaggio collinare del Kraichgau, dove non lontano si trova un'altra valle di Angelbach, quella del Gauangelbach.
