Emsbüren è un comune unificato nel sud del distretto dell'Emsland in Bassa Sassonia. Il nome del comune è accentuato sulla seconda sillaba. Emsbüren confina a ovest con Engden e Wietmarschen, a nord con la città di Lingen, a est con il comune di Spelle e a sud con il comune di Salzbergen e la città di Schüttorf. Da agosto 2007, Emsbüren è riconosciuta ufficialmente come meta di escursione - per prima tra i comuni della Bassa Sassonia.
